Advisory Board Meetings
Advisory board meetings provide a small working forum that allows for candid interaction between advisors and clients about product development, current
or proposed clinical trials, and future trends in medicine. Additionally, these sessions provide the client with valuable feedback and important insights on current marketing strategies and new or on-going educational efforts. The proceedings of an advisory board meeting are usually recorded; and from the taped proceedings an executive summary is developed.
Dinner Meetings
Dinner meetings are traditionally 1 to 2 hours in length, enabling busy local
health care professionals to attend evening meetings and hear key opinion leaders present on the latest developments in a specific disease area. A question and answer session follows the formal lecture presentation. Dinner programs
may be CME-accredited and are often part of an educational series.
Speakers Bureaus/Grand Rounds
A speakers bureau is composed of faculty members who have specific subject matter expertise and present as part of a lecture series. These types of programs are generally held in restaurants, offices, etc, or may be part of an institution’s medical education programming which can be tailored to meet the needs of specific departments.
Product Launch Meetings/National Sales Meetings
Product Launch Meetings and National Sales Meetings vary in size depending on the amount of people in the sales force and home office. The meetings usually consist of a general session, various workshops and/or breakouts, and can also include team building, off-site functions, themed dinners and live entertainment to enhance the learning experienced and increase interaction with the company employees. Motivational speakers, VIPs from corporate office, and key opinion leaders related to the therapeutic area of the product launch also add great value to the take home message of the program.
